The Texas A&M Maritime Academy is one of only six state maritime academies in the United States. Here on the Galveston campus, the Corps of Cadets serves as a living leadership laboratory designed to forge exceptional merchant mariners and military officers. Whether pursuing a U.S. Coast Guard License option or looking to build baseline leadership infrastructure for shoreside industries, cadets live a highly structured, regimented lifestyle that sets them apart globally.

At the Texas A&M Maritime Academy, the Corps of Cadets is structured into distinct Companies, the foundational units where leadership is forged, lifelong bonds are secured, and accountability is practiced daily.

Much more than just housing arrangements, these companies serve as self-governing, tight-knit communities. Led by senior cadet officers, every company establishes its own culture of academic achievement, physical readiness, and operational discipline under the watchful guidance of the Commandant's staff.
